Delbert L. Thompson

Delbert Lee Thompson, age 54, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012, at the Bowers Hospice House, following a short illness. Born December 16, 1957, at Mullens, he was the son of Joyce E. Thompson of Mullens, the late Cecil “Bruce” Thompson of Corinne, and was the stepson of Nellie “Frances” Thompson of Hurricane. At Delbert’s request there will be no services; he chose to have his body donated to the WV School of Osteopathic Medicine for research. Delbert had requested that any donations of sympathy be made to Hospice of Southern WV, P.O. Box 1472, Beckley, WV 25801. Submitted by Tankersley Funeral Home, Mullens.

LYNCO — Angela Gail Varney, 19, of Lynco, WV, departed this life on Thursday, August 9, 2012, in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born September 23, 1992, to parents Gayle and Norma Varney. Funeral services was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2012, in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, with Rev. Valdis Bailey, Rev. William Cook and Rev. Erwin Gregory officiating. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
