Deborah S. Marsh, Westside High School principal, recently announced the graduates from the 2012 graduation. After completion of their required courses the senior class graduated form Westside High School on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. The school hosted its annual Senior Awards on Thursday, May 24, 2012 in the high school auditorium.

Taylor Danielle Brown, Valedictorian Nicholas Raye Pineda, Salutatorian McKinsey Blaine Davis, Honorarian
Taylor Danielle Brown, Valedictorian, is the daughter of Todd and Deanna Brown of Glen Fork. She is the granddaughter of the late Marion D. and Frances Brown and Jack and Athelene Walker of Glen Fork. Taylor is a member of the national Honor Society, Student Council, FCA, and the 2012 AA State Girls Championship basketball team. She also attends New Life Church where she is a member of the worship team. Taylor has been accepted to Concord College University where she received the ALEF (Appalachian Leadership Education Foundation) fellowship. She will be pursing a degree in elementary education.
Nicholas Raye Pineda, Salutatorian, is the son of Joseph and Deborah Pineda of Oceana. Nicholas is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, FCA, and RAZE. He is also a member of the New Life Worship Band. Nich has been accepted to Marshall University where he will be pursuing a career in political science.
McKinsey Blaine Davis, Honorarian, is the daughter of Barry and Sherry Davis of Clear Fork. She is the granddaughter of Frances Cline of Hanover and the late Harold Cline. She is also the granddaughter of the late Ann Toler Blankenship of Clear Fork. McKinsey is Vic-President of the National Honor Society, Vice-President of the Student Council, Outstanding Peer Leader of the Year, and Captain of the 2012 AA State Girls Championship basketball team. McKinsey has been accepted to Marshall University where she will be pursuing a degree in pre-med.
