One arrested in drug raid

Police raided a Lynco home on Sunday and arrested 72-year-old Jerry Harvey.

“We executed search warrants and arrest warrants,” said Wyoming County Sheriff Randall Aliff.

Harvey faces seven counts of delivery of a controlled substance and two counts of possession with intent to deliver.

He was arraigned before Magistrate Craig Cook, and bond was set at $500,000 cash.

Harvey remains in Southern Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

The investigation was headed by Capt. Don Cook of the Southern Regional Drug and Violent Crime Task Force. and the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department.

The West Virginia State Police, FBI and Internal Revenue Service also took part in the raid.
