Prosecutor: Man could get 90 years in prison

A 63-year-old Oceana man could get up to 90 years in prison for his role in drug distribution, according to Wyoming County Prosecuting Attorney Rick Staton.

James C. Lester was sentenced to 6-90 years consecutively. Staton said the sentence was enhanced because Lester had a prior felony drug conviction.

Danny K. Cook of Cyclone was sentenced to concurrent terms of one to 15 years and also forfeited $5,000 in cash and assets.

Other case dispositions:

Mitchell Goodwin, 33, of Oceana, sentenced to one year for petit larceny. Sentence runs concurrent with sentence in Ohio.

Scott E. Rollins, 35, of Oceana, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, sentenced to one to 15 year.s. Credit for 201 days.

Randall Ackelson, 29, of Matheny, conspiracy to commit grand larceny. Sentenced to one to five years. Credited for 852 days. Restitution to victim.

John Whittaker, Jr., 34, of Odd, petit larceny, suspended six month sentence. Credit for time served.

Joanna Lynn Vargas, 45, of Bud, delivery of a controlled substance, one to 15 years. Sentence suspended and placed on home confinement for four months and two years probation with the Day Report and Community Services.

Willie Dean Knneda, 51, of Simon, petit larceny, one year suspended sentence and placed on one year probation.

Brian Keith Toler, 38, of Lynco, delivery of a controlled substance, sentenced to one to 15 years.

Edward “Tom” Kennedy, 49, of Simon, dlivery of a controlled substance (three counts), sentenced ot one to 15 years for delivery of Oxycodone and two concurrent terms of one to five for delivery of Hydrocodone.

Anthony D. Monk, 19, of Mullens, batter, one year suspended sentence and placed on two years probation and will pay restitution to victim.

Teresa Ann Maynor, 41, of Cyclone, delivery of a contolled substance, suspended sentence of one to five years. Placed on probation for two years with Day Report and community service. Restitution to SRDVCTF.

Joshua Dewayne Graham, 22, of Oceana, burglary, sentence of one to five years suspended. Placed on home confinement for one year and probation for one year.

Berthel Kennedy, Jr., 36, of Coal Mountain, delivery of a controlled substance, suspended sentence of one to five years. Place on probation for two years.

Gregory Mark Lester, 28, of Mullens, two counts receiving stolen property. Sentenced to two terms of one to 10 years. Given credit for 575 days for time served and released from custody. Restitution to victims.

Travis James Harvey, 20, of Oceana, obstructing an officer and destruction of property. Sentenced to one year and credited for time served. Place on one year probation.

Chelsea Rae Lusk, 21, of Mullens, sentenced to one to 10 years. Alternative sentence of six months to two years at Anthony Center. Completed program and placed on probation for two years.

Robert Wilson Ratliff, 48, of Amigo, misemeantor possession. Suspended one year sentence and placed on home confinement for one year.
