AAU Warriors play in Roanoke

The Wyoming East AAU eighth grade team took part in an event at the Spectrum in Roanoke, Va., last weekend.

There were just five players for the tourney, and East went 1-2 in three games.

East lost, 58-50, of Fluvanna of Charlottesville.

Chase York had 24 points for the Warriors, and Logan Miller scored 15.

Caleb Bowr (5), Mason Houck (4) and Brandon Simpson (2) also scored.

East topped the Spectrum Indians, 74-64, in the second game.

York poured in 36 for the winners. Miller and Simpson each added 14. Bower had 6, and Houck scored 4.

Simpson pulled down nine rebounds, and Miller had five.

Hill City Crash nipped East, 90-84, in the third game.

Miller and York notched 30 poins each for the Warriors.

Simpson added 16, and Houck tallied 6. Bower scored two points.

Miller had five assists, and Simpson had five rebounds.

York blocked a shot.

The team will play three games in Princeton on May 20.
