Softball recaps: Pitching dominant in East’s 2-2 week

Wyoming East softball went 2-2 in a week dominated by pitching.

The Lady Warriros won, 8-2, last Tuesday at Parkkersburg South. A five-run first inning sparked the winners.

East lost a 1-0, 12-inning marathon to Man last Wednesday at New Richmond.

Holly Brehem struck out 22 in the win. Man’s Emilee Walker fanned 20.

Kari Walker, Rivers Wade, Autie Miller and Phoebe Zeboskey had hits for East.

Reagan McCoy had two hits for Man, including the game winning RBI in the top of the 12th.

Brehm and Walker combined on a no-hitter on Thursday as the Lady Warriors trimmed Logan, 1-0.

East scored the lone run in the third.

Man shut out East again, 2-0, last Saturday afternoon at Man.

Emilee Walker threw a one-hitter for the Hillbillies.

Reagan McCoy had an RBI for Man.

Lexi Booth doubled in the sixth to give East its only hit.

East is now 8-4 on the season.
