Wyoming East beat Liberty and lost to Princeton in boys basketball last week.

East 91, Liberty 45

The Warriors overcame a sluggish start and went on to trounce Liberty, 91-45, last Tuesday at Glen Daniels.

WEHS held just a 34-28 edge at halftime. But a 31-point third quarter, sparked by 16 points by Dylan Brehm, put East firmly in control.

Brehm’s 23 points led four players in double figures.

Jared Cannady had 12, and Evan Preece scored 11. Zach Cook added 10.

Chandler Haynes scored 20 for the Raiders.

Princeton 55, East 44

Princeton completed a season sweep of the Warriors with a 55-44 victory last Friday at Princeton.

The Warriors ut a 13-point deficit to seven, 34-27, by the end of the third quarter, but the Tigers hung on for the win.

Corey McKinney had 19 points for East, and Dylan Brehm notched 11.

Cole Cochran (19) and Cade Fix (16) led the Tigers.

East (12-9) begins sectional tournament play next week in Beckley.
