Westside quarterback Justin Cogar wants to make his last season for the Renegades a good one.

Cogar, widely considered a D-I prospect, says the pre-season effort has been strong for this year’s club.

“I feel like it’s the hardest working team I’ve been a part of,” he commented.

WHS head coach Larry Cook reported that he has a deep, talented group of receivers who performed well in summer camps.

Cogar says the receivers spent a lot of the off-season in the weight room and on the field.

“We’ve worked on chemistry and timing,” he remarked. “That makes a big difference.”

Cogar and the WHS offense will be on view this Saturday in a scrimmage at Shady Spring at 11 a.m.
