A Ravencliff man has been charged with the murder of one man and the shooting of another.

Wyoming County Sheriff Randall Aliff said the 911 Center received a call that there had been a shooting at Lucas Hollow at McGraw at 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Aliff said officers found that two men had been shot when they arrived.

Ernie Cline, 26, of Kopperston was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jesse Graybeal, 28, of McGraws was air lifted to Charleston.

James Green, 33, of Ravencliff is charged with first degree murder and attempted murder, Aliff indicated.

The events that led up to the shooting are still under investigation.

A semi-automatic pistol was used in the shootings, Aliff said.

Sgt. Bill Toler is the lead investigator in the case.

Green is expected to appear in circuit court on Friday or Monday.

Aliff noted that about 15 officers, several of whom were off-duty, responded to the scene.

Green is incarcerated in Southern Regional Jail.
